Chalk wheels - Start truck and wait for pressure to build - Ensure air pressure is above 90psi

Release spring brake / parking brake

Ensure air pressure is between 90psi-100psi

Mark pushrod at the brake chamber

Apply brake stick and note Rpm's are between 600-900

measure applied pushrod stroke

Identify the brake chamber size (30 short stroke)

Identify allowable adjustment limit of brake chamber

repeat at each wheel

If pushrod stroke exceeds the adjustment limit the vehicle is defective. Note: Drivers are required to report defective vehicle conditions. Operating or driving of a defective vehicle is illegal.
